Description

Black and white image of the Cathedral in Thurles from the gates of St. Patricks. Built in Romanesque style modelled on the Italian cathedral at Pisa. The Cathedral was conscecrated in June 1879 and cost £30,000 to build. The building is the fourth church to be built on the site over a long period dating back to a church in the 14th century. Thurles, Co. Tipperary. Mid 20th century.
