A colour image of the military barracks at Tipperary Town. The barracks which was located close to the railway station was built c. 1874. The British army withdrew in February 1922 and was then occupied by the IRA, who burned it in July of the sameā€¦

A colour image derived from a printed postcard of the military barracks in Clonmel. Built c. 1780 it was a depot for the Royal Irish Regiment. After independence it was renamed Kickham Barracks and continued in use until 2012.
