Description

Black and white photographic image of the woods around Galtee Castle on the southern slopes of the Galtees. Originally a hunting lodge for the Earls of Kingston, in the mid 19th century it was bought by the Buckley family who extended and remodelled it. The building was acquired by the Land Commission in the 1930s and demolished in 1941. 20 October 1926
