Description

A black and white photographic image of the 1798 memorial statue in the Square, Thurles, Co. Tipperary. Erected in 1900 by local people to mark the centenary of the 1798 rising, it is a limestone monument depicting a standard bearer and on the pedestal relief carvings of Wolfe Tone, Lord Edward Fitzgerald and Thomas Emmet with an inscription on the remaining side. 1987
