Digital images made from negative images contained in the Murphy Collection at Tipperary Studies. While most are of Ballinamona House, Cashel, Co. Tipperary, its grounds and the Murphy family, there are also images from various parts of Tipperary, Ireland and England, with a lot of varied images of social life, farm animals, horses and families in and around Cashel. There are also several images of the Galtee mountains. 1918-19

An account of the resource
Photographic image of the ruins of Monkstown Castle, Co. Dublin. Originally built in the 13/14th century by the Cistercians of St. Mary's in Dublin. when the Abbey was dissolved the castle was granted to John Travers. During the Cromwellian period it was granted to General Ludlow. Originally a very large castle all that remains is the original gatehouse and a three storey tower which had been part of the larger building. 12 December 1919
