Description

A black and white postcard featuring James Connolly (1868- 1916). Born in Edinburgh to Irish parents, he was a trade union leader and a founding member and commander of the Dublin Brigade of the Irish Citizen Army. One of the signatories of the proclamation and badly wounded in the rising he was executed on 12 May 1916.
